LEHEN, ORAIN, ETA BETI...(then, now and forever)
‘Lehen’ (then) reflects the work by the former members of Elai-Alai, whose main task was to establish as a group and collect ‘Orain’ (now) is the continuous work of following our predecessors’ path in which we also want to show new creations that are necessary to be able to continue this hard path for a traditional group. ‘Beti’ (always) is the word that best represents our group; always working, always creating. Creating illusion, creating musicians, creating dancers, tradition and new ways of seeing our culture, in a more professional way. For all the above, this show has a special meaning for us, and we believe that if we transmit it to the audience, they will also have the same feeling. These three parts start at the more primitive forms of dance and music, followed by adapted traditional dances and ending up by representing new dances and music created from a traditional perspective. This show has an approximate length of one hour and a quarter, and can be represented either in open or closed spaces. |
